2026Did4Luv
Choreography: Dominique McDougal, Carro Sharkey
Performance: Dominique McDougal/Carro Sharkey
Concept: Carro Sharkey
Sound design (live): s.t3v
If today were the day you had to stop dancing, how would you feel? Did4Luv is a tragicomic dance solo shared between Dominique McDougal and Carro
Sharkey, with each performing on alternate nights. The performance
spirals through a surreal dreamscape of labor, blending mascot work,
drag, clowning, magic, and pole dance, each new gig dissolving into the
next.
Did4luv stages labor as spectacle and spectacle as labor,
asking what forms of visibility and desire the systems of work and
entertainment extract from marginalized bodies. It traces the toll of
constant reinvention, revealing the psychic wear of always needing to
entertain, sell, and survive.
2025an other kind of life
Choreography and performance: Makisig Akin and Anya Cloud
Performance, artistic collaboration: Eric Geiger
Sound design (live): s.t3v
With strength, tenderness and the potential of threes, as well as
through physical retraining of reflexes, images of queer collaboration
are created. Bodies connect and set in motion an intertwining with
gentle, precarious collisions and risky touching strategies.
With time and calm, possible reactions are processed and the physical,
emotional and relational effects are traced in order to get closer to
the truth.
In the face of cultural, social and political setbacks, this work is a
passionate call to action by the community, as well as an exercise in
survival, a balm and a hymn to queer love in equal measure.

FIELD TRIP is a centering of the Mad, Queer, Disobedient, and Fugitives of Denver’s iconic artery: Colfax Avenue. Serving as a living archive of East Colfax, FIELD TRIP gathers together a glittering body of transdisciplinary artists to create a constantly evolving experience where audience members become entrenched in the world of the Mad and Colfax as a site of the voices discarded by domesticated culture to roar. FIELD TRIP exists as and highlights the connective tissue of East Colfax and how all of Denver’s lives are intertwined and implicated within it.
Field Trip is made up of three phases: Assembly, Recess, and Field Trip! The Assemblies test and pilot so that the Recesses can play and experiment so Field Trip! can have a tool box for moving together and alone.

Unthreaded is a
genre-expansive performance, elevating contemporary queer retellings of
antique narratives through their hegemonic deconstruction. Balancing
aesthetic nods to medieval and contemporary clothing and costumes, we
invite you to join us in a time-travelling journey and learn the lesser
known queer experiences and histories of: The Siren, The Knight, The
Actor, and The Faggot. Unthreaded was made in collaboration between ten queer Denver-based creatives— merging fashion, dance, movement, and sound.

We Are (nothing) Everything
Choreography and performance: Makisig Akin and Anya Cloud
DJ (live): s.t3v
This dance duet is a queer reimagination of a creation story. With
patience, tenderness, and prayer we epitomize the multiple ways that
love can manifest. Intimacy facilitates straddling and queering notions
of violence, care, pleasure, play, and gender. Through performance we
cultivate impossible conditions as an invitation to elusive spaces where
desire, guilt, grief, and love intersect. We hold the complexity and
paradox of being socialized female bodies who are queer and racialized.
Sometimes we share a body and sometimes we splinter into the ether — we
simultaneously elevate each other and take each other down. We embody
the wildest dreams of our queer ancestors.
2023Strange Natures
Choreography: Carro Sharkey, Elle Hong, George Delaney
Performance:
Carro Sharkey, Elle Hong, George Delaney
Concept: Carro Sharkey
Sound design (live): s.t3v
Strange Natures is an evening-length immersive dance and theatre work that transformed a historic homestead and farm into a world populated by glitter, trash, and shiny things where three mutable characters and a live DJ built an upside-down queer dance party/communion as a strategy towards surviving a world driven by climate catastrophe.
Strange Natures unravels through original choreography, chaotic/monologic vignettes born of our current reality TV zeitgeist, sound composition and design, drag performance, and Power Wheels™ racing. Born from the research of queer ecology and futurity, Strange Natures invites audiences to find kinship with each other, with trash, with glitter, and with our increasingly plastic future; creating queer snapshots of the world we are living through, or will live through.
